Ricky Silva raced to a win in the SFWD (Sport Front Wheel Drive) class at the Summer HDay event in Epping, NH this weekend. Silva pilots the McLeod Racing ’97 Honda Civic EK.
Silva qualified in the number 3 position with a 8.46 @ 184mph. The McLeod Racing EK was consistent all weekend, putting down multiple 8.4 passes in the 182-184mph range. This would prove beneficial as Silva headed to the finals and sealed the deal with a 8.32 @ 186mph to take home his first win of the season.
“The car performed flawless all weekend and was a bracket car” says Silva. “After seeing our previous run data, we knew we were working in the right direction with the tuning calls, our team kept everything in check all weekend and we were able to get the job done.” Silva looks to keep the McLeod Racing EK in the Final Round and in the Winner’s Circle the rest of the season.
