Intended for the high horsepower street/strip fan, the McLeod RXT Street twin clutch kit is able to handle 1100hp, this clutch can handle almost any horse-power you can throw at it and still remain street-able. Ceramic lined clutch discs will provide smooth engagement with a soft pedal effort to make this clutch kit ideal for the street performance enthusiast. This clutch is perfect for the person that wants the best of both worlds.

Break-In Procedure
All McLeod street performance clutches require a Break-In Period of 500-750 miles of street, stop and go type of driving prior to driving at wide open throttle. This mileage is required to properly seat the disc with the pressure plate and the flywheel. The mileage listed will provide about 1200 apply and release cycles to the clutch assembly.
DO NOT run the vehicle on a chassis dyno prior to full Break-In procedure.
Important: During performance driving and break-in, all traction control devices must be turned off or clutch slippage will occur!

1. Change the pilot bearing.
2. Break the clutch in according to the instructions provided.
3. Ensure proper bellhousing alignment.
4. Resurface the flywheel. This is a critical step to guard against clutch chatter/shudder. We recommend a very coarse surface texture from a stone grinder. Something that if you ran your finger nail across the flywheel, the texture would catch your nail.
5. Inspect the entire clutch system including hydraulics and linkage. Replacement of the Hydraulic slave with an OEM replacement is critical.

- A Single disc application is installed with the completely flat side facing the flywheel. The protruding side of the hub (side with springs) assembly will face up towards the pressure plate ( in most cases)
- A Double disc unit will have both hubs with the protruding side of the hub face up towards pressure plate and towards the transmission. (in most cases)
Yes. The pins help to ensure proper alignment of the pressure plate and add strength.
The biggest factors in clutch life are the way it is used and the output of the engine. McLeod Clutches are designed for maximum life but that life can be shortened by using much stickier tires than stock, stop and go driving, track use, tires of larger diameter and other factors that place added stress on the clutch.
We would like to see 500-750 miles of stop & go city driving. With no drag racing or dyno tuning. Make sure to drive in stop & go city driving to actuate the clutch 1200 to 1500 times. You can drive the car 600 miles on the interstate and only shift the car 5 or 6 times and not break in the clutch.

2. Worn or damaged clutch linkage, leaf springs, bushings, mounts, u-joints, CV joints, engine mounts, transmission mounts.
3. A flywheel that has not been resurfaced properly, has hot spots, has excessive run-out and or incorrect flywheel step.
4. Pressure plate or disc that is bent.
5. Defective pressure plate and or disc.
6. An engine that is not tuned properly.
7. A disc that either lacks enough marcel or has no marcel at all.

McLeod Racing LLC will not be held liable for the labor charges and other intangible or consequent losses that might be claimed as a result of the failure of any part, nor shall it be liable for damages or injury to persons or property resulting from the misuse or improper installation of any part subject to this warranty.
No merchandise may be returned for any reason unless prior return merchandise authorization number (RMA) has been obtained from McLeod. An RMA number may be obtained via ww.mcleodracing.com or by calling McLeod directly.
McLeod Racing LLC reserves the right to examine all parts returned for warranty claim to determine whether or not any such part has failed because of a defect in material or workmanship. McLeod's obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repairing, replacing or crediting, at its option, any part found to be defective. All products returned to McLeod for warranty inspection must be prepaid by the customer under this warranty.
In a racing environment, the type of stress placed on automotive parts can vary dramatically by the type of use, driving style, track preparation, differing tire style and other variables that are out of McLeod's control. For this reason, any parts used in a racing environment shall be void of any warranty either expressed or implied.
There are no other warranties, either expressed or implied including, but not limited to, warranty of merchantability, and warranty of fitness for a particular purpose which extend beyond those set forth in the preceding paragraphs. I had this clutch kit installed professionally by my mechanic in my 2007 Shelby Gt 500. This clutch is by far the best mod investment I have made since buying this car almost seven years ago. The pedal pressure is light, the shifting is smooth, and it falls right into gear. It has really enhanced the overall experience of driving my Shelby.
