March 8, 2022 (ANAHEIM, CA) Import racing star and industry veteran, Lisa Kubo, will join the McLeod Racing family as the Director of Sport Compact Sales. For over 27 years, Kubo has lived and breathed the sport compact lifestyle so it only made sense to bring her on board with McLeod Racing.

Lisa Kubo, the first sport compact FWD driver to break into the seven-second zone, has an immense background in the sport compact world. As a professional drag racer of 12 years, Kubo brings a world of knowledge and connections to help grow and strengthen the McLeod Tuner Series line. And to be part of her journey as she re-emerges on to the scene, McLeod sees the opportunity to grow with race teams and engineers to bring the best products on the market.

The Wharton Automotive Group acquires Silver Sport Transmissions. The Wharton Automotive Group, consisting of McLeod Racing and FTI Performance, is owned by NHRA Nitro Funny Car driver and businessman Paul Lee.

McLeod Racing’s Joe Macasero raced to the finals in the 11.50 index class at the Import Face-Off event in Bakersfield, CA this weekend. Macasero pilots the McLeod Racing ’95 Honda Civic EG equipped with the B-series Mag Force twin-disc clutch unit.

McLeod Racing announces partnership with Import Drag Racer Ricky Silva. Silva will be piloting his 1997 Honda Civic with a McLeod Racing wrap for the 2021 season. Silva will be competing in the highly competitive Sport Front Wheel Drive (SFWD) class for import drag racing across the country.
